This graphic was designed and used widely across social media to advertise the upcoming event, ‘Light Up Taiji’, which took place on January 17th, 2017. It was available for people to freely use and change their profile picture for the day, thus creating a giant wave of awareness and education for the dolphins of Taiji.

”For those who continue to shine a light on Taiji. For those on the ground, the online campaigners, the petition signers, the protesters, the organisers, the creatives, the inspired, the passionate and dedicated. For those that take to the streets, stand outside dolphinariums and travel agencies. For those that spread awareness and educate. Until every dolphin is free… Be their voice. For the dolphins — ALWAYS.
Jo Phillips
”When we think that this battle is too hard and too heartbreaking and too frustrating. We must remember that we are fighting the same fight that the dolphin, that lone warrior dolphin was fighting. and when we’re too heartbroken to continue and when we don’t know how this is going to end, we just have to remember that we are fighting in honour of all those thousands of dolphins that were taken before her and for the hundreds that are taken as slaves for the captive industry.
