Web Hosting

Our websites use WordPress, a content management system (CMS) allowing you to update content and add pages. We give full training and are here to guide and assist you, or we can do this for you.

Our free site maintenance service will give you peace of mind. The WordPress core, plugins, and theme framework are checked regularly and updated, ensuring your online presence is safe and secure.

Hosting packages include a free SSL certificate that provides security by encrypting communications between the server and site visitors and flags the site secure by displaying a padlock icon in the address bar. Without SSL, Google will display a “Not Secure” warning. SSL protects websites from phishing scams, data breaches, and other threats.

The page builder is included in our services. If a client leaves the digital partnership, we advise buying a copy to receive developer updates.

Prices are subject to change.

FAQ

There are four main costs associated with having a website: domain, hosting, site development and maintenance.

This is the “address” or “URL” of your site.

You can buy your domain name from many places around the web, and we will guide you through changing the name servers to point to your new site. You will be responsible for keeping up to date with payments and any issues that may arise.

Where you are hosted is where your site lives.

We charge £185.00 per year for managed WordPress hosting on reliable servers. As your site grows, we will grow with you, finding the optimal hosting solution for your needs.

We also offer a basic but essential WordPress maintenance service for clients who have chosen our web design services but do not host their sites with us, allowing our clients to concentrate on their businesses whilst we take care of essential updates.

A friendly and efficient design service.

Getting a website designed and built can range from a minimum of £35–£80+ per page, depending on the size and complexity of the site. All costs are discussed thoroughly before setting out on our venture together.

We take pride in providing a friendly and efficient design service, working directly with our clients from the initial concept to the final design. We offer a bespoke design that works well on multiple browsers and platforms.

What further costs should you expect?

All WordPress, plugins, theme and page builder updates are managed and upgraded by us. We make regular checks and will update your website without you even noticing! This service is included in your yearly hosting fees with no hidden extra costs, ensuring your site is up-to-date and working efficiently.

We charge for edits on an hourly basis. If, for example, it is a simple change such as updating an address, date, or location or replacing a picture, we’d charge something like £5. We never charge to correct an error that we made (spelling or incorrect date). All prices are discussed with our clients on a personal one-to-one basis with no hidden extras! If you like to make your own edits, we’re always happy to help and can show you how.

Non-hosted maintenance plan

Whilst we do not require you to utilize our hosting services, we strongly suggest that you host with us. Most alternative hosting providers will not provide updates and site maintenance services, leaving you to implement them on your own, which can potentially harm your website.

We offer a WordPress maintenance service for clients who have chosen our web design services but do not host their sites with us, letting our clients concentrate on their businesses as we take care of essential updates.

Updates are crucial to keeping your website running smoothly. Your site must be up to date for security reasons, to keep your website in good condition, and to ensure a good user experience. WordPress regularly updates the core CMS that keeps your website bug-free, plugin developers update their 3rd party functionality, and most importantly, the theme framework needs to be updated when the developers release a new version.

Email Hosting

Your website and your email serve different purposes:
Website: helps people find your business
Email: helps you run it

There was a time when bundling email with website hosting was a standard practice. Today, it is outdated and comes with several drawbacks.

Here’s why:

  • One problem breaks both
If your website has downtime, your email often does too—leading to missed messages and frustrated clients.
  • Outdated and limited
Webmail interfaces are clunky, storage is small, and spam filtering is basic.
  • It drains hosting resources
Email consumes space and processing power meant for your website.
  • Moving hosts is complicated
Switching web hosts is already tricky—mix in email, and it gets messy.
  • Setup and support issues
Connecting email to devices can be confusing, and as we are designers we do not specialise in email support.

A standalone email solution is the smarter choice. Keeping them separate makes your workflow simpler, safer, and more reliable.

Why Professional Email is Better

Professional email platforms are built for reliability, security, and scalability, far outperforming web-hosted email.

Key benefits:
  • You still get your branded email (name@yourcompany.com), but with enterprise-grade systems behind it—meaning better uptime and access, even if your website has issues.
  • Security is significantly stronger too, with features like multi-factor authentication, encryption, and advanced spam filtering to protect your business and clients.
  • You’ll also benefit from improved deliverability, modern tools like calendars and file sharing, and the ability to scale easily as your business grows.
  • Separating your email from your website isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a smarter, more reliable way to run your business.
