The team at Until Lolita is Home would like to thank professor, oceanographer and freediver Claire Paris for her friendship and support. Claire’s freediving, along with her passion and devotion to the ocean, inspired us to create our August 8 video campaign, ‘We Will Carry You’.
The following clip is an excerpt from her statement for Toki, presented at the Toki: Past & Present, Day of Listening Conference held on December 13th at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami.
Claire has broken many records, only just this year, she ended the season with two back-to-back AIDA Pan-American records in dynamic no fins 147m and dynamic bi-fins 182m.
She dedicated these records to the prompt release of Tokitae / Sk’aliCh’elh-tenaut.
“She taught us resilience, patience, and kindness. We must bring her home to the Salish Sea, where her mother and pod await. Time is now!”
