Created for GEN-IA ‘The New Allergies’. An invitation to observe, interpret, and shape the emotional, aesthetic, and cultural reactions that AI is provoking in contemporary art.
GEN-IA is a project born from enthusiasm and a passion for design, art and creativity in all its forms. It arose from the concern—and also the enthusiasm—that generative artificial intelligence has sparked in the creative field. It stems from the questions, doubts, and “allergies” that have emerged surrounding its use: an excess of tools, noise, fear of replacement, or loss of critical thinking.
Those of us who have transitioned from analog to digital know that these reactions are normal. But we also know that they are overcome when we observe quality work, learn from active professionals, and develop critical thinking. AI is a powerful tool, but perspective, intention, and responsibility remain human.
That’s why GEN-IA was born: a day to look calmly, humorously and with perspective at what is happening and how to continue creating with meaning.
It is the first event of its kind in Alicante and was created by LaRepla.es as a space to learn, share experiences and generate conversation without dogmas or empty promises.
