Dolphin Project holds annual Japan Dolphins Day events to mark the start of the hunting season in Taiji, Japan. Activists around the world join peaceful demonstrations to educate the public, as well as to voice international opposition to the hunts. The aim is to encourage the Japanese people to learn more about the hunts and to take positive action on their own, through opposing dolphin captivity, avoiding the consumption of cetacean products, and promoting environmentally responsible economic activities.
