An issue which is extremely close to my heart is the ongoing campaign for Lolita, an orca who has been held captive by the Miami Seaquarium for almost 50 years.

On July 27th 2019, events took place around the world for her in conjunction with a press conference by the Lummi Nation who announced the notice of intention to sue the Miami Seaquarium to return Lolita/Tokitae to her native waters, as a kidnapped relation under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).

I designed the graphics for the ‘Until Lolita is Home’ worldwide event. This included social media promotional graphics, posters and banners for download.

I was also incredibly proud to have one of my designs used on a media video truck which drove up and down the highway outside the Miami Seaquarium educating the public about Lolita’s sad story.

The van can be seen on a news report by WPLG Local 10 news.
