Dolphin Freedom UK supports Empty the Tanks
We stand with Empty The Tanks Portugal and their petition to the Ambassador of Japan in Portugal. Our message also asks TUI to join other travel companies such as Expedia to stop selling tickets to dolphin shows and swim-with-dolphins programs.
Our Message
We’re Dolphin Freedom UK. We are supporting Empty The Tanks Portugal’s petition to end dolphin hunting in Taiji, Japan.
The hunts in Taiji are fueled by the demand for captive dolphins.
The UK no longer has any dolphinariums but Travel agencies such as TUI continue to sell the outdated shows.
It’s time that travel agencies accept that they are the third part of the marine captivity industry.
After capturing and exhibiting, its down to travel agencies to provide the customers.
Travel agencies that sell tickets to dolphinariums are just as culpable as the dolphin traders in #Taiji, Japan. It’s time they stop being complicit and put compassion over profits.
Freedom is a dolphin’s birthright. No dolphin ever goes willingly into a lifetime of captivity. How many more dolphins need to die?
