On Tuesday, December 13, Friends of Toki hosted the “Toki: Present and Future” Day of Listening conference at the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Miami.
The conference convened local leaders, residents, community and national organizations interested in the health of the orca Tokitae (aka “Lolita”), including Miami-Dade County officials and Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.
Until Lolita is Home created an online event for the thousands who were unable to attend the conference but wished to stand in solidarity with Tokitae and help to amplify her voice.
The event was entitled ‘hear my voice, hear my dreams’, we provided signs for people to share, a campaign video and we also spent a lot of time creating individual memes for people who sent in their photos!
